Pastificio Destefano - our Story
The Beginnings
It was in 1 948 when Giuseppe Destefano thanks to his far-sighted vision created a small Family-run fresh pasta workshop in Ivrea in the province of Turin.
In the following years the demand for its delicious agnolotti increases so that the business has to be moved to the nearby town of Bollengo in much larger and more suitable workshop.
A Love for Fresh Filled Pasta
The freshness, quality and goodness of the product over the years led the agnolotto Destefano to be well known and appreciated even outside the regional borders in large areas of the Italian and foreign markets.

The company in the following years then passed into the hands of the Families of his two sons Rinaldo and Giuliano who were able to carry on this path with the same skill and love for filled fresh pasta, then passing it on to the third generation with Chiara and Marco Destefano, grandchildren of the Founder, who today lead the Company while maintaining the creativity and passion of its beginnings intact over time.

The production of pasta is one of the oldest crafts in Italy deeply rooted in our culture and with which our Country has seduced and fascinated the palates of the whole world.
For over 75 years, the Destefano artisans of pasta have been able to combine skill and creativity with the most modern production techniques that now allow the company to produce over 300 kg/hour of product but always maintaining the characteristics of fresh homemade pasta unchanged.
The special pasteurization method used also allows the pasta to remain matte and natural and maintain the characteristic scent and flavor of fresh home made pasta but at the same time grant a shelf life of at least 30 days for products packaged in trays in a modified atmosphere.

A careful research and selection of raw materials and an internal kitchen that daily studies, develops and produces fillings for its products combined with its original characteristics of craftsmanship still allow the Destefano Company to create taylormade recipes at the customer’s request.
The Company has obtained the best certifications for food quality, certified according to the BRC and IFS standards from 2015 to 2020 and then obtained the ISO FSSC 22000 certification. Sensitive to respect for the environment and sustainability since over 1 5 years the Destefano Company is also provided of a photovoltaic system that allows the use of clean energy.
